Half baskets must be commercially manufactured as a half basket and be of open mesh construction.

Class. 19

1st - £2.00 - 2nd - £1.50 - £1.00

An open class, but this class calls for three pots of any cultivars, no species, a very popular class and included in most show schedules.

Standard pots and a specified pot size of 3.5"(90mm) with no exceptions.

Class. 20
Description: Three plants any cultivars
Size: 5.5"(140mm)
1st - £2.00 - 2nd - £1.50 - £1.00

Another open class calling for three pots of any cultivars, no species, a very popular class and included in most show schedules.

Standard pots and a specified pot size of 5.5"(140mm) once again with no exceptions.

Class. 21
Description: Six fuchsia blooms exhibited on a board supplied by the society
1st - £2.00 - 2nd - £1.50 - £1.00

Even if you feel that your plants are not up to exhibition standard there is no excuse for not supporting your local show. You can exhibit six open flower blooms, these can be single, semi-double or double and be all of one cultivar or mixed. A board with six evenly spaced holes is supplied by the society.

Your blooms need to be fresh, clean and undamaged, ideally they should be at the stage where they are just breaking into pollen and make sure they have all the parts and in the correct numbers.

MEMBERS CLASS

Class. 22
Description: One plant grown from a cutting supplied by the society at the April meeting
Size: 5.5"(140mm)
1st - £2.00 - 2nd - £1.50 - £1.00

This is a member’s only class for the members who obtained a cutting at the April meeting of the society to exhibit this plant. It is usual for the members not to know the name of the cultivar only whether it is a single, semi-double or double. The maximum pot size is 5.5"(140mm)

We have now been through the complete schedule of classes and rules, there may also be some guidance as well as stating the date, time and venue within the schedule and you should read it thoroughly.

The 'Show Schedule' looks different when it is broken down this way and it doesn’t look as daunting now you understand it.
